A LIBRARY caused a saucy social media stir after announcing its sale of 'ADULT DVDs'.

Addlestone Library tweeted about their week-long x-rated DVD sale which included films being sold for 50 pence each.

The tweet read: "This week only. Adult DVD sale - only 50p each."

Many tempted tweeters believed they were selling filthy films as part of their offer.

But they were really selling films with certificates above a 12.

Titles including The Iron Lady, Run Fatboy Run and GI Joe, were available at the bargain price.

The tweet was misconstrued by chuckling Twitter users, who thought they were selling filthy films.

Tony Kibble said: "When you say adult do you mean 'adult'? You know Debbie Does Dallas etc."

Another tweeter added: "Hmm. This might pull in a few people wouldn't normally see at the Library."

But in an indirect attack on other tweeters, Michaela said: "Clearly some seniors have not learnt about the value of the internet?"

A spokesman for the library said: "DVD's on sale at Addlestone Library include popular films such as The Iron Lady, The Hannah Montana Movie and The Inbetweeners Movie.

"We do not stock or sell pornography."

This week the Sun Online reported on how the BBC accidentally broadcast a woman exposing her breasts during a live 10 o’clock News broadcast.

The steamy striptease could be clearly seen by the show’s 3.8million viewers on an office computer screen behind oblivious presenter Sophie Raworth.
